Math Olympiad.

Using different language features.

I use a hook in my writing so people go wow and want to read my story.  For my story about my lava lamp, I used onomatopoeia. I found it a bit tricky because all of the spelling I had to do and the hook because of all the onomatopoeia.  Next time I will use a question.

Learning to play the recorder

I have been learning to play Mary Had a Little Lamb. I like learning the recorder because I like how you get to learn heaps of notes.

Learning to recognise 2D and 3D shapes.

Learning to use describing words.

I have used describing words to write a diamante poem.
I found it tricky to spell my diamante poem words.
I am proud of the words that I chose like brobingnagian. My next step will be to write longer and bigger words.

Learning to make connections.

My group has been learning to make connections.

This is an illustration about the book 'After the high tide' by Dawn McMillan. This picture reminds me of me and Dad going fishing and I nearly caught a fish. This reminds me of another book called 'I caught a big fish'.

I found this tricky because at first I didn't know my connections. I am proud of making my connections with another book. My next step is to do more connections with other books.
