WALT: deliberately choose words to create an effect on the audience.

In my speech I was able to used persuasive words to try change the audiences mind to like motocross and make my delivery good.

Next time I could use more persuasive words and put a bit more information to make the audience enjoy my speech and put more persuasive words.

Quotation Marks

My Reflection

Walt : use a wide range of advanced punctuation correctly (Term 2) Quotation marks.

I had to do a test about Quotation Marks, you had to pick A B C or D and their was only one correct answer and three incorrect answers and you had to pick the right sentence. I know how to do Quotation Marks because I know you only use them when someone is speaking in your story. I also knew what punctuation and where it should be.

Next time I could try get 10 out of 10 and try it again another time and try get them right again.

Camp Merc acrostic poem.

Walt:edit and revise my Camp Merc writing for clarity and impact in response and feedback.

Learning Reflection.

I found this activity easy because I have done lots of acrostic poems before.I did make changes to my poem after getting my feedback from Thomas and Reuben. I made some spelling mistakes and I corrected them because Reuben spotted them.

Next time when I do my writing I am going to get a red pen and edit I will underline my spelling mistakes I will check for the red lines under the incorrect spelling.

My Kennings Poem

Walt: distinguish between relevant and irrelevant ideas for my Kennings Poem.

I was able to :

• Use lots of detail.
• Only use ideas that related to me.
• Use relevant ideas.
• Not use irrelevant ideas.
• Edit my work to make my writing more about me,eg Dirt bike rider/Dirt bike extraordinaire.

Next time I could put more year 6 WOW words in my Kennings Poem like extraordinaire.

45 Letter sounds

Walt: Use different spelling patterns and strategies to increase my word knowledge.

There are 45 letters sounds in the English language.  Sometimes these sounds are made by one letter and sometimes they are a made by a group of letters together.  Learning these letter sounds will help me spell unknown tricky words and increase my word knowledge.

10 Things you need to know about me.

Walt : use advanced punctuation

We have learning how to use bullet points correctly in my 10 Things About Me slideshow.  I learnt you need to :

• Place the bullet point in the margin.
• Use a capital letter after the bullet point.
• If you have written a sentence, end it with a punctuation eg. fullstop.
• Bullet points are used to create lists.
• Find the bullet points icon on the right hand side at top of the tool bar called bullet lists.
• You need to be in inside a text box to find the bullet list icon.

Next time I will try and use bullet points in more of writing.

My Reflection.

This year I am feeling excited For all the sports and to represent my school and for camp and doing PB4L.

My goal for this year is:

• Be a peer mediator.
• Get the sportsmanship award.
• Make it into every sport.
• Make it into cross country.
• To get 100 ticks.

This activity was about an inference chart.

I thought this activity was hard because the conversation need to be something about the dog jumping.

Next time,instead of food I can think of something else.

This activity is about writing. It was a can do a activity for SDL. We wrote about sports, all kind of sports.

I thought this activity was easy because I know lots about sports.

Nitro Circus Shop.

This activity was about writing,  We wrote about Nitro circus.   A bunch of people that can do cool as tricks and we made a slide with all of there stuff.

I thought this was easy because I know lots about the Nitro Circus and what they use and it is an interesting topic for me.

A-Z olympics

This activity was about writing.  We had to write a poem about the Olympics using every letter in the alphabet..

This activity was hard because it was hard to find some words for the letters.

Next time I could add pictures to it.

Holiday recount 2016

Friday:First we went to the Airport and hopped on a plane.  During the plane flight I watched I am Evel Knievel  and played cards.  Then we made it to Australia and waited for our car to come and get dropped off.  After That we went shopping.  That night we went on the train to Brisbane and watched the warriors vs broncos at Sun Corp Stadium.

Saturday:Today is Saturday and we are going to swim at the pool Today and chill out.

Monday:Today is Monday and we are going to sea world to have some fun.  When we got to Sea World,we had to find a car park,Then we had to line up in a very slow line.  Once we got to the front of the line we could see where the jet skies do there show.  First we went over to the dolphin show and it was Awesome,  we had to wait afterwards by the dolphin entry so I could pat and get a photo with a dolphin.  Then it was lunch time and I had some chicken buns and also watched my mum and dad's friend swim with the seals.

Tuesday:Today is Tuesday and we are going to wet,n,wild.  When we got to wet,n,wild we were early so we had to wait in a very big line, once we got in there we went and put our bags down and went in the wave pool, then we went on the big raft slide which was cool, after everybody got there we all went on the super 8 aqua race,I came 2nd to last on the first race on the second race I came 3rd and on some of the down parts you would jump.  Next we went on the green slide and it had no roof on it and there were lots of downhills and big corners.

Wednesday: Today is Wednesday and we are going to movie world.  First we went into the wild west part and it was not open.  Then we went on the scooby doo roller coaster and it fun and scary.  After that we had to run to get to the stunt driver 2, They did drifting in there Utes and big flames came out and it was so hot on my face that was loads of fun, we went and watched my friend go on the superman roller coaster, it looked so scary. Next we went to the kids part and went in the driving school where you get to drive mini cars.  Today was a great day.

Thursday:Today is Thursday and we are going to hang out with my Uncle and Aunty for a day.  My Aunty works at dream world and she got us in for free.  We went to the Peter Brock museum and looked at all his cool race cars.  After that my uncle took us to a street that was full of motorbikes and Harley's.  We saw a really cool white chopper and lots of shiny Harley's.

Friday:  Today is Friday and we are going back to New Zealand.  First we had to pack and get everything in the car and check out of the apartment.  We went to Surfers Paradise for brunch and I had pancakes and a ice chocolate.  After that we went to a skateboard shop and bought some new wheels and bearings  then we went and got dog tags for my friends.  Then we drove to the Airport and checked in our bags.  Then we had some dinner and I had sushi.  Then we got our plane and flew back to Auckland and we got home at 1.00 in the morning.
